Future Strings is a contemporary music project by Boyana Zareva and Ivan Shopov that explores the intersection between classical string instruments and modern electronic music.
The project dates back to 2020, when the two artists first presented Future Strings at DA Fest—an event that marked the beginning of their shared sonic exploration.
At its core lies a dialogue between the violin and electronic sound, ranging from ambient and downtempo to experimental and cinematic textures. Future Strings expands the boundaries of traditional sound, transforming it into a contemporary audio experience.
Their music carries both intimacy and scale, making it equally suitable for live performances and festivals, as well as for film scoring, installations, and multidisciplinary art projects.
